Tanner is 5!!!!!

Tanner 5 years old!

In the mountains

Climbing a boulder :)

He is 5 :)

Opening his present

My little bear is 5! I cant believe it! He is such a good boy :) We had a party for him which I will post about later but for his actual birthday day we let him pick what he wanted to do. He decided he wanted to ride up the mountain and look for deer and go on a hike! He is definitely our outdoor boy! He is also very athletic. He can hit, kick, throw, or catch a ball better than most kids that are even older than him! He is a very, very active energetic boy! He is stubborn and likes things exactly perfect ( no idea who he got that from ;) He is also the most caring, loving, thoughtful boy. He loves animals, and loves to hunt! He is very smart and can put a puzzle or project together quicker than I can figure it out sometimes! I love his personality and the way he never gives up! He has such a strong will and determination! Even with a cast nothing was going to slow him down! He could shoot baskets, throw a football, and hit a baseball with no problem even with a broken arm! He is ALL boy!
Happy Birthday Bear :)

10 years.....

10 years later back at the Flying V :)

Me on a bridge at the resort

Us :)

So this post is a little behind but I am doing some blog catching up for the past month :)

October 16th was our 10 year wedding anniversary! Wow! It is crazy to think we have been married for 10 years! Now I understand why it was such a HUGE deal to everyone else when we got married so young! Haha! We were just kids when we got married and I would absolutely think someone was nuts if they said they were getting married at 15 and 18 now! Back then we had no idea what we were in for and how hard we would have to work to make the life we have now. It hasn't always been easy but I think all of the struggles we have went through have really made us stronger together and as a family. We love each other and are here to support each other and I couldn't imagine spending my life with anyone else...
So for our anniversary Louie surprised me with a trip to Tucson and had reservations for dinner at the Flying V restaurant at the resort where we spent our honeymoon, the Lowes Ventana Canyon Resort. The really cool thing is that restaurant is where we had our first dinner as a married couple and we got to go back and eat there 10 years later! We were actually right by the table we ate at back then! It is a very fancy place and when we went back then we had no idea what any of the food on the menu was and were dressed way too casual but we just laughed and had fun picking at our "gross" food! This time was different, we knew what the food was and were dressed up and it was amazing! The food was great and was actually prepared by a real Chef. I had the BEST Chili Rellano ever! We really enjoyed getting to sit and think back on our first meal there! We kept laughing saying I wonder what they thought the last time when two goofy teenagers walked in trying to act all grown up! Haha! We had so much fun! Next time we go we plan on staying a few days :) Louie wanted to this time but I am just not ready to leave Branden overnight yet (yes I realize how goofy that is :)
Thank you Babe for a wonderful anniversary!
I love you tons and bunches and lots ;)

Landen and Tanner

This Halloween the boys all knew exactly what they wanted to be! Tanner and D are really into Spiderman....no I mean REALLY into Spiderman! Haha! We watch the movies over and over! So they of course both had to be " Spiderman muscles" Hunter decided he wanted to be a pirate and honestly that surprised me! Baby Branden didn't really have a choice but when I was going thru the boys winter clothes and sorting them out I came across Landen's Halloween costume from when he was 4 months old...which was a Pumpkin! Well, Branden saw it and kept trying to put it on his head! Haha! It was adorable! So I put it on him to see if it fit and it fit perfectly! So either Landen was a HUGE 4 month old or Branden is a tiny 11 month old! Haha! I think its a little of both!
HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!!!!

Update......

My 4 boys :)

Tanner with cast #2

Tanner with cast #1

Re-Setting his arm for the 3rd time in a week and a half!

Tanner's arm is doing alot better! He went in about a week and a half ago to get his first hard cast and was so excited to pick his green cast! His poor little arm was so swollen and bruised when they took the other cast off to set it. He said it hurt pretty bad while they were setting it but by that afternoon he was already trying to play football! Haha! He is so funny because the night he broke his arm while we were still in the ER he said, "At least I didn't break my throwing arm!" He LOVES football and well pretty much all sports! So he was pretty mad at us for not throwing him the football while he had his soft cast on! The day he got this hard one he was throwing and begging us to throw it to him! He can now catch and throw with just his right arm! This is probably another reason that he had to have his arm re set last week. He started complaining that if he turned his palm up towards the sky that his arm would "pop". It got to the point where he was crying if it turned even a little bit. So we got him back in to the Dr. and they said the bones looked good but that the cast was now a size too big! So we had to get a new one. This one will stay on until Tuesday when we go back in to have it x-rayed again and probably re casted because I can already tell that it is too big again. He might have his cast off by Halloween!

10 months old!

Branden is now 10 months old! Wow! it's crazy that my last baby is already 10 months old and is walking! He doesn't walk everywhere and still will crawl if he is in a hurry! He can take about 10 to 12 steps without falling and then he will squat down and crawl away! He is so sweet! He is talking a ton now and can say Hunta, Tanna, and Nden the boys are so happy that he can say their names! He tries to repeat what we say which is so cute because he doesn't have any teeth yet and no sign of one anytime soon! So when he talks and smiles it's this big gummy smile that he gives you! I love it! He also does his "kitty face" that the boys have taught him to do! I am not sire why it is called a kitty face but they all do it! Haha! If you tell him, "Buggy where is your kitty face?" this is what he does :

Kitty Face!

Broken Bones....

Not happy :(

Getting ready to get his "sleepy medicine"

Just waking up from the medicine

Still kinda out of it! :)

At home :)

Last Thursday night after dinner Tanner, Hunter, and Landen had just finished eating and had went in their room to play. After about 3 minutes we hear this horrible horrible scream..... followed by all 3 boys yelling and screaming what sounded like, "Bear broke his arm, his arm is broken!" By that time we were already down the hall and in his room and Tanner is screaming such a heartbreaking hurt scream and holding his arm but it is just completely hanging and obviously broken. So Louie scooped him up before I could and we ran straight to the car and called and had our parents meet us down at the hospital to get the other boys and luckily my parents were right by the hospital when we called! So we rush him in and the nurses are like oh we will get you in here in a bit... until we showed them his sagging arm. So after x-rays we got to a trauma room and they gave him morphine and the Dr. came in told us that he had (obviously) broke both bones in his lower arm and he said it was one of those x-rays that you see across a room and go Wow! That's a bad one! I was so sad for him because he was in soo much pain and kept asking if we could fix his arm and he thought it was falling off. So the Dr said that he had to sedate him which has always been a fear of mine to have my kids sedated I don't know why but it just scares me. But luckily he wasn't going to need surgery or pins or anything. The ortho doctor was hours away but the Dr on call in the ER was great and said he could do a closed reduction and that he would use a very safe medicine to put him out. So thankfully Tanner didn't have to feel or see any of the stuff they had to do to straighten his arm back out. I will never forget the look in his eyes as they out him to sleep he was terrified but trying to be sooo tough. It broke my heart. I am so thankful the doctor let us be in the room and hold him while they did the procedure. The first thing he said when he started to wake up is... "My arm feels better" :) that was so good to hear because I knew he was really hurting before that. They put a half cast on it that is hard on top and bottom but the sides are not casted so that his swelling can go down. We will go back on Wednesday to hopefully get his full cast and let him pick a color!

So I am sure everyone is wondering what happened to cause such a severe break... well lets just say an "unnamed brother" got a little too rough while they were wrestling and jumped on Tanner's back while he was on all fours and Tanner said he felt his arm pop. The "unnamed brother" asked for me not to say he did it :) It was an accident and was really traumatic for all 3 boys (Tanner the most of course) they have all been having bad dreams about it. I am just glad it was only an arm and nothing worse. We will no longer be wrestling in our house needless to say!

I am soo proud of my little Bear! He was so tough and handled the whole thing better than most adults could. He hardly cried and would just whimper and then clench his teeth. He still isn't complaining much and is really trying to do alot more than he should! I think the hardest part now is trying to keep him from doing too much! He is such a sweet boy and we love him so much. Thank you to all our friends and family who have called and checked on him and brought him "prizes" we really appreciate it!

Tanner's first day of school!

" Mom! No pictures!" Haha!

Not so sure about having a new chair!

"Ok enough with the pictures already!"

Haha! I love this because he looks like he is ready for me to leave!

Checking out the new puzzles!

Tanner started his first day of school the day after Hunter and he was really ready for it! He is in preschool again this year because he has a late birthday so he missed the cut off to start kindergarten. I am really glad that he is in preschool another year though! I don't think I would've handled him being gone all day just yet! He was so cute on the first day of school! He picked out his outfit and wanted to have his hair combed just right and everything perfectly lined up in his backpack! He is such a sweet boy! He wasn't too thrilled about me taking pictures but I had to! :) He really loves his preschool teacher and missed her all summer! I am proud of how much he has matured over the past few months and I think he will definitely be ready for kindergarten next year....even if I'm not!
